Bobby graduated from Lewisburg High School in 1990 and Bucknell University in 1995. He was a four-year letter winner at
Lewisburg, where he was a three-time PIAA placewinner, winning two state titles in 1988 and 1990. Bobby placed third in 1989. He finished his high school career with an outstanding 127-13-1 record. At Bucknell he was their only two-time wrestling All American and graduated with an impressive 118-21-1 record and four East Coast Wrestling Association gold medals. He placed 8th in the NCAA Championships in 1994 as a senior and 7th in the championships as a graduate student in 1995. Bobby broke the school victory record and finished second all-time with 44 falls. He was just the second man to win four ECWA titles, helping the Bison to their second-ever team championship in 1995. He was named the ECWA Championships Outstanding Wrestler in 1992 and never lost a conference bout. A two-time team captain, he won the Christy Mathewson Award as Bucknell’s top senior athlete. He became the second Bucknell wrestler to be enshrined in the Bucknell Sports Hall of Fame in 2004.
Bobby Ferraro previously served as the NHSCA Executive Director starting in 2008. Post college graduation, he was
employed as the Director of Marketing at the NHSCA for 2 years, prior to moving to Marietta, Georgia. He went on to work for RaceTrac Petroleum as a special projects manager, promoted to Regional Marketing Manager and then to Personnel Manager. Following RaceTrac, Bobby served as the Beverage Category Manager at Sheetz, Inc. out of Altoona, Pennsylvania for 6 years before coming back to the NHSCA. He currently serves in his current position of Chief Executive Officer.
Bobby has coaching experience in all levels – college, high school, and youth. “To serve at the NHSCA is truly an honor, we have the ability to affect the environment and experience for thousands of kids each year through the programs we offer to coaches”, Ferraro said.
Bobby and his wife, Leslie reside in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania with their three children: Dylan, Taylor, and Kendall.
